W.A.L.T understand parts of our brain.

After you have read ‘Getting to Know and Love your Brain’ and ‘Amazing Facts about your Brain’ - Answer the questions:

  1. How big is your brain? as big as two fists together .

  1. Why is it important that your Amygdala feels safe and happy? because it controls your emotions.

  1. Why do we need a Hippocampus? Controls breathing.

  1. When we are feeling stressed - what can we do to calm ourselves down? Breath in and out.

  1. What needs to be calm in order for our Prefrontal Cortex to pass information onto our Hippocampus? my amygdala.

  1. What was them most interesting fact you learnt about your brain?the right side of the brain control the left side of your body.

W.A.L.T show how we are going to be kaitiaki to ourselves, others and to Papatuanuku.

  2. While you are waiting for our mahi to be checked you can start to draft your art onto newsprint paper.
