Hector Busby.

Hector Busby Is a legendary waka carver, navigator and bridge maker. Mr Busby has made over 100 bridges and over 20 wakas in his life.

Hector Busby is over 80 years old and yet he is still teaching kids carving and maori culture. Hector got the idea of carving wakas at the age of 8 in Waenga and he has made many amazing things in the last 76 years.

Hector Busby has sailed to 2 countries hawiye and ranga Hector Busby is a really good friend with the hawaiians or like a leader to the hawaiians.The hawaiians see Hector Busby as a  god and that is why Mr Busby is such an amazing man.

Waka

Wakas are maori boat that maori people use to go to places across the sea people used paddles to move the wakas instead of engines.

When people used wakas if the waka tipped over in the sea everyone would have to grab a paddle and put it under your chin to float and not drown so you don't die.

On wakas when sailing the wakas there is the navigator,captain and other paddlers but even if you were a captain or navigator you still had to work together to paddle the waka.

Old rock and stick Tools  

When people didn't have power or anything to make things with like chainsaw people started to grab things and make tools with them like an axe (an axe needs a rock a tough stick and some flax).People made axes to build homes and to hunt,killed,cook and eat animals.

When people ran out of big rocks they had to make pickaxes with tough long curved rocks so then they digged underground and found more rocks and made more tools.

When people were hunting and the animal was too fast they would make bows to shoot them when they were too far away and they made the bow with a stick and one long string and they made the arrow with one little sharp rock a stick and four feathers.

When people needed food like meat or fish people made spears they needed one big thick and a sharp rock at the front and killed many animals with the spear.

Robot helpers

On my weekend I went to the shop to buy candy some coke and a drone. I went over to  buy all of it and I  got a little robot helper to hold my stuff instead of a plastic bag. It’s better because the plastic bag would kill other animals in NZ.

Force field

Later after I got home I went and walked across the  clean beach with blue clean sea that had a electric force field around it.So whenever a piece of metal or something touches the force field it disintegrates.

Transportation  

With all the updated tech we don't use cars,planes,or boats we use telepads.Telepads teleport people place to place. You just need to say where you want to go then bam you're there in less then 1 second.It's also great because then we don't dump sewage in the sea or the oil.

THis report is about plastic in the oceans.

What Is Plastic Made Out Of?

Plastic starts out as oil then turns into monomers, monomers connect and form into pellets. Millons of the pellets are melted together to make a plastic.

Micro plastic

Micro plastic used to be big pieces of plastic that broke down into little pieces that float around the ocean. Fish eat the micro plastic then humans eat the fish then die because the mercury levels are high.

                                                                               

     

Henderson Island?

Henderson Island has the most plastic on it than any other island ever. Henderson island is a remote place know one lives there because it's to polluted and too remote.

Plastic Vortex?When plastic is thrown away it floats across the ocean then a vortex sucks it in making a garbage patch. There are 5 or 6 plastic vortexes around the world that are getting bigger. The garbage patch is polluting the ocean and killing the sea creatures of the world and now the sea creatures are gonna be extinct so stop your littering and save the sea.

Marine animals? Plastic In Ocean Is bad.But why is it bad? That's what your asking yourself because plastic is making marine animals die.Why because they eat plastic and the chemicals in the plastic are making the animals ill and die.Because maybe a mother fish or mother albatross will die and their babies will be left alone and will die to because they will think that the plastic is food and they will feel full but their not so they will starve to death.So stop littering in the ocean and save the amazing marine animals in the sea.

     

Plastic bags used per year?Plastic bags may be useful for many things but plastic bags are killing and polluting the sea and this year people are gonna make, buy and throw away five trillion plastic bags and it`s Killing hundreds of sea creatures.

Solution?

The solution to stop plastic killing sea life is to use skin leather or flax instead of plastic because skin leather or flax will disintegrate in water instead of it staying there like rope.
